Little Log Cabin Nature School is excited to offer: Young Bushcrafters!
Bushcraft is the practice of self-reliance in a natural environment. In this hands-on class, students will revisit traditional skills - from fire-starting and trap-setting, to whittling and navigation.

Mondays @ 12:30 p.m. - 2:00 p.m.
First class: September 28 (11 week term)
Ages: 7 - 11

$365/student (includes $15 equipment fee)

Syllabus includes:

  • Fire Starting

  • Campfire Cooking

  • Traps and Track Identification

  • Whittling

  • Essential Knots

  • Shelters

  • Map Reading and Navigation

** Because we will be using real tools and dangerous elements, we require that students are 7+, and strong listeners who can follow directions and work safely.

** Additionally, because we will spend so much time in the woods, we do have a strict dress code, requiring students to wear long pants (ideally, overalls) and boots/sturdy shoes.

** This class is available through the Berrien Springs Parent Partnership.
